Speyer, Germany holds an annual festival to honor the pretzel (or Brezel, in German). It boasts the only church in the world to commemorate the pretzel is the carvings on its facade.

As we cruised down the Rhine and Mosel rivers, it seemed that every small town we passed had a large church dominating the landscape. Most of those pictured are unidentified.

We turned into the Mosel at Koblenz, passing a couple of interesting churches, and continued to the town of Cochem, where we saw more interesting windows in St. Martin’s Church.
