After the Parade, we returned to the RV Park, changed some clothes, grabbed a quick sandwich, and returned to the bus to go down to Sierra Madre Boulevard to walked amongst the parked floats. This is the best part of the whole Parade program. Below are close up photos of some of my favorite floats.

The City of Burbank float was special for two reasons: first, we helped to decorate it and second, I was born in Burbank, so it felt like a homecoming float for me. Below are more photos of "our" float.
Gale's foot
Foot close up
This was as close as we could get to having her with her alligator's foot - the sun was very bright and the crowds impossible.
He's so cute!

January 2-3
We left San Dimas and headed east for Tucson. At Indio, we turned south on Highway 86 so we could stop for a date shake at the Oasis Date Farm - yum yum! Then we continued on to Gila Bend, AZ where we stopped for the night. This allowed us to arrive back in Green Valley by noon so we had daylight and could take our time re-parking the camper.
It was another great trip!
